The ancestral remains of twelve Ainu people that had been excavated by medical and anthropological "scientists" and stored by the University of Hokkaido for 85 years were returned to their descendants and a newly created organization called "Kotan-no-kai" on July 15, and were reburied in the graveyard of their home town, Urakawa on July 17.
